"Devious Licks" Trend
We hope this message finds you well and ready for the weekend. However, we want to bring to your attention an issue that is popping into our school. A few kids are engaging in a “challenge” on Tik Tok’s platform, dubbed “Devious Licks.” This challenge encourages kids to video the stealing or breaking of school property. As a school community, this is very concerning behavior. We ask that you have an open conversation with your student and encourage them to understand that while they may view these as harmless pranks, this vandalism is costly and considered a crime. Students that engage in this behavior negatively impact students, staff, and themselves. Instead, we ask you to urge them that if they see something, please say something. Let’s continue to ensure our schools have students making thoughtful choices. Thank you!

Before and After School Supervision Reminder
This is a reminder that there is no supervision of students before 8:45am in the morning and after 3:30pm in the afternoon. We highly recommend that students come straight to school when walking or riding their bike, scooter etc. Also, there is never supervision at Nichols Park so we want to encourage students to come to campus in the morning and not hang out at the park.
Additionally, we have had reports from community members that students congregate in the middle of the bike trail that is marked by a red line on the map below. Many community members use this trail in the morning so we want to make sure that it stays clear of students hanging out before and after school. Thank you!
